keychain base strings

how long should i cut base strings for a little keychain pattern?? the pattern is 26 rows so would 1 foot of string folded in half be sufficient for base strings??

yes i think so I measure using the metric centimetres so 30cm or the length of a ruler would be more than enough for a key chain

That might be a little long, but it's better to have them too long rather than too short.
