Hi! Someone just rated my pattern 1 star. It made me super upset because I worked really hard on it and I hate to see it go down in rating. Any ideas?

I’ve had this happen before so I know how u feel. Maybe ask your friends if they would be willing to rate your pattern. I know if you can get a few 5 star ratings it will definitely help bring up the overall rating of your pattern.

hi! i’m sorry to hear this happened to you. it is also possible that the user rated it one star by accident. i have gotten one star ratings on multiple occasions and often, the users comment saying that they rated it badly by accident. just know that ratings don’t define the quality of the pattern. i think your pattern looks beautiful, and i rated it 5 stars to help bring it up in rating! 🙂

I usually pm them and ask them why they rated my pattern so poorly and if there’s anything I could do to improve my patterns

I agree with @arf820 ratings don’t really define your pattern because it’s not like a pattern is an item, with a item if there is many bad star reviews it might just be a bad quality but a pattern can’t be bad quality like it kind of can but not really if you like it u can make it the only thing that will really keep you from making a pattern you like is if there are a lot of photos and the bracelet doesn’t look that good for example a pattern like 7935 (no hate on the pattern! It’s really cute! Bracelets up to like 4 or maybe 6 strings naturally don’t turn out too good)

And I don’t think there’s a need to pm them because a lot of times it can be an accident also I think 3-5 star ratings r fine not 1-2 star tho 1-2 ratings are just mean but 3 stars just means it could use a bit more work

this happens to everyone, it's not something to take personally. sometimes people do it by accident. i've had this happen to me multiple times, and it sucks, but your patterns are still very highly rated, you shouldn't be so offended by one vote.

i’m so sorry this has happened. the same thing has happened to me before and i was so excited to see what people thought of my first pattern and someone made me really sad by rating it 1 star. my advice to you is to just continue to be kind. keep making patterns you are a very creative person and i like your patterns. they may have made a mistake and not even noticed. there will always be people in the world who feel that they should make other people sad. sorry this comment was so long btw
