hey I've made a few bracelets and they end up curling on the person after they put them on. Why is this happening? and how can i prevent it from happening anymore? is it the way i end the bracelet (i start the bracelet with a loop and usually end by separating the strings in half and braiding them into 2 tying ends)? how do i fix this?thanks lisa |

Most of the time it’s the pattern itself but you can apply heat to it using a flat iron and it helps flatten it out

most of the time it actually has to do with how tightly you make your knots. if you don’t want it to curl, try loosening up your knots, while still making them consistent throughout the bracelet. with bracelets you’ve already made, you can use heat or heavy books to flatten it out. i’ve also had some of my alphas that i’ve knotted tightly become looser and more flexible/ bendable after i’ve washed them 🍒🛹🧃

In addition to what was previously said some bracelets like the candystripe will always curl a bit due to the knotting structure. You seem to not be doing any specific ends for your bracelets. For bracelets with a low amount of strings that can work well but for bigger bracelets I recommend doing triangle ends so you can get the string to a point without them pulling the bracelet. |

As said by the others, the knot structure can cause that. To prevent it, use the straight edges technique, it keeps your bracelets flat.

It might be because the bracelet pattern is actually shaped like on a diagonal like the candy stripeOr I would say your knot tension is really tight try loosening your knot tension and make sure that all the knots have been made evenly Also if u have a pattern that has stripes and it’s a Norma, pattern make sure all the thread is the same thickness if it’s not it may lean or curve towards the thinner side. |

Bracelet curling is a natural thing that will happen. Either way, no one likes it when this happens. You could either try ironing it or using the straight edges technique. Some @KrazyKnotz and @pattncraft patterns have this built into the pattern already, but if you find a pattern that doesn’t, you can tweak it to make it easier. Masha Knots (aka @Racoon ) has a great tutorial on this that you can find on youtube. Hope this helps. Happy knotting!

My mom wears her bracelets into the shower, and she's been wearing the one for almost a year, and it is not curly.

Maybe try tying tighter knots?
