It depends on what kind of pattern you are trying to make. I personally find alpha patterns easier to make than normal ones. I would say just practice and test things out start smaller and work your way up!

If you are on the website at the top right corner you should see your username and profile picture. If you hover over there a menu drops down. The first thing on the menu is to create patterns. Then you can pick normal or alpha patterns.

alpha patterns are easier to make than normal but they can be fun to do.
