So I made a ravenclaw bracelet for a friend, and it turned out pretty good (it was my first time making an alpha) but the edges are REALLY messy. Sometimes it's warped and pulled back🙁 I'm not sure what caused it, and I don't want to make the same mistake again, what should I do?

You can try using the straight edges technique. Masha knots has a tutorial on YouTube on it. Also you will just need to practice. I have made alphas for over 5 months already and my edges are still wonky and wiggly. ❤️

Another thing is to make sure to use the same thickness of the thread. I know DMC and Loops & Threads are both 8m. Also, when doing color switches, make sure to pull the strings tight, because the bracelet can get bigger and stick out there. Check out Masha's flat alpha tutorial. Hope this helps. ❤️

Straight edges technique, but also practice!! If it's your first time making an alpha it will probably be messy, but you will get better with practice!

It sounds like you might be pulling the loose strings in the back too tightly. If you do that they pull on the bracelet and the bracelet starts to warp.

Try making extra sure your knot tension is Ed with all your knots and make sure all the strings are the same thickness
I also think straightedges should keep everything fitting nicely together with no awkward gaps

Practiceeeee makes good bracelets (lol I thought I was gonna say perfect)
