The little numbers are called “rewards.” I know you can get them by completing the official challenges (can be found in the “challenges” forum and are labeled as being official), but idk if there is other ways

I am not quite sure what you mean by star but you get numbers by completing challenges. Challenges can be found in the forum tab on the bottom of the page. You must complete the challenges by the deadline. Also, only challenges created by moderators/admins will give you points. These challenges will be labeled 'official.'

You can get rewards from participating in official challenges (can be found in the challenge section of the forum and have "official" in the title) or reporting duplicate pattern.
