Hello, how do i add string to alphas? Like to the base?

When you first start out your alpha, you should cut as many base strings as it says in the dimensions of the pattern. (example #55287 has 11 base strings). If you've accidentally miscounted your base strings, you can either untie your knots and start over and add another base string, or you can insert a new one. Inserting a new base string is basically the same as inserting a new leading string. Cut the string that you are going to use for the new base string and tape it behind your bracelet. Then begin knotting onto it with your leading string according to your pattern. The bracelet will widen at the point that you add in your new base string, but that is just because more base strings means a wider bracelet. Let me know if you have any questions!
