Hey! I recently tried the wave alpha pattern(#38672). I kept the background colour as white and the main colour ( wave's colour) as blue. I dont know why, but the blue knots of the wave seem very separate. The wave doesnt look stitched together. There are a lot of whites between the blue knots of the wave thus making it look weird and it looks nothing like a wave . It doesnt look cohesive at all. Would really appreciate if you could help.

Are you using the flat alpha technique? That might help!

You most likely made really loose or something else idk. Try making tighter knots and if it doesn’t work then don’t make another alpha until you can make a normal bracelet easily that way you won’t waste your time and end up upset with your results. Don’t give up but instead go back to the basics of normal bracelets and build your way up into an alpha. Also practice your colour changes as well.

Did you use the alpha technique where you can only make two coloured alphas where you make the knots of the second colour by making knots with your basestrings?

you might need to make your knots tighter or closer to the spot where the knot is needed like don't make super tight knots then be unable to pull it up to where it is supposed to go
and I would recommend probably looking at marsha knots tutorial for the flat alpha technique.

Thank you everyone for helping me out. Ill definitely check out the flat alpha technique! Also im not a beginner and have made some intermediate patterns. I also followed masha knots' video on how to read alpha patterns, so there's no confusion about the number of threads, etc. If only I could send an image of my bracelet, you guys would have rectified the problem right away. But anyways, thank you so much for your help. I appreciate it ❤️

Also, can you guys suggest some beginner's alpha patterns? That way I can start from the basics and work all the way to the advanced patterns 😊

I think the wave pattern you did is a perfect beginner pattern. In general I'd recommend a pattern with up to 10 basestrings and maybe 2 to 3 or maybe 4 colours.

If you want to show the bracelet you could put it as your profile picture temporarily. You can also post a picture to the pattern once you are done with your bracelet.
