Hi! I have never done an alpha before and was wondering what some easy first patterns are? If it has less strings does that help? Any tips? Thanks! 🎃 |

#25493 This alpha is very simple. @Racoon also has a tutorial for this pattern on her youtube channel (Masha Knots).

i don’t find the number of string really matters for me it’s more the number of times i have to switch colour

The amount of string dosent really matter to much it might help a little with kee track of how many knots to do of a certain color BUT the more tricky part (my attempt of giving advice) is the amount of color switches. Honestly pick anything you like as long as it is not like more than 10 colors if you like what you pick you'll try your best at it. For your first alpha maybe on with 4 or less colors. The first alpha I did was of my name and I decided to make the color of my letters as one and then the background was just all my scrap thread. Im sorry if that didn't English lol

#47975 Is a great one. My first alpha was a letter pattern with my initials and it was super simple. I couldn't find the one I used, but this is a simple one that turns out great. I made 2 of them for my friends with their name on it.

Any alpha pattern with 2-4 colors should be fine.

Masha knots has a tutorial on how to make alphas and the pattern she used is in my opinion a great one to start with maybe after doing a couple of more simple ones with fewer color switches!

I think#38672 is a good one because it's really cute and has only 2 colours

Hey! I recently tried the wave alpha pattern(#38672). I kept the background colour as white and the main colour ( wave's colour) as blue. I dont know why, but the blue knots of the wave seem very separate. The wave doesnt look stitched together. There are a lot of whites between the blue knots of the wave thus making it look weird and it looks nothing like a wave . It doesnt look cohesive at all. Would really appreciate if you could help.😭 😭 😭 |

@ishanyach did you use the alpha technique where you can only make two coloured alphas where you make the knots of the second colour by making knots with your basestrings?
