You need to first learn the 4 basic knots and then decide on what pattern you will use. You can then either use a tutorial if there is one for that pattern or learn how to read patterns. There is a tutorial on it that includes how to make the different knots under the tutorial section.

I would start off with the Chinese staircases then candystripe then chevron and continue to make harder and harder bracelets from there

If you already know how to make the 4 basic knots and have made chevrons and candy stripes, I would recommend Masha Knots’ tutorial on how to read patterns, as that would be the next step. For your first normal pattern I wouldn’t do anything over 10 strings just to make it easier for you!

I would start with a simple bracelet or watch tutorials on YouTube there’s some really great ones and they teach you how to read patterns but I would start with videos it’s easier

Hi, I have a question, not about making the bracelets but about the notifications on Braceletbook. When I go to my notifications tab, it says that I have no new notifications, but I had some before and now I can't find them. I created a pattern that did not get accepted into the sight, but I was still using the pattern to just make it for myself. Is there any way I can see past notifications so I can finish my bracelet?

@Horse_Love to see declined patterns you can go to the generator and you'll find the pattern there. You don't have to take the step over the notifications. Seeing patterns in the generator is only possible on the website, not the app.And yes, after a while (I don't know how long) notifications will disappear. |

Hi @itsmiracle! I have been very confused in my first few years of making bracelets. And what really helped, was watching YouTube videos. I have my own channel that teaches the segment knotting of certain patterns. If you are interested, I do have some videos attached to my profile. On YouTube, my channel's name is Kraft Krazy. If you are not interested, there are many other channels such as Masha Knots, Craftanatic, Alex's Innovations, etc. If you are not interested in watching videos, there is a tutorials section of the website, that contains pictures and words instead. I hope you find this information useful, and also find what you're looking for! Happy knotting! 😊- @Crafty_K |

I would recommend watching some tutorial videos on here or look them up on YouTube They will probably start you off with a chevron, candy stipe, Chinese staircase, and the arrowhead or a variation of the chevron It is usually this so you can learn to make the basic knots and know what they look like and how to weave them together There are four basic knots Candy stripe/ staircase teaches you one which is the forward knot the arrow is pointing to the right The chevron will teach you two of the knots those will be the back ward knots which is represented by an arrow pointing to the left and the forward knot Arrowheads or other beginner types or tutorial will also try to teach you the other two which are the backward forward knot annddd the forward backward knot Hoped this helped and possibly answer why you’re gonna eventually wonder why is it always these bracelets Enjoy making bracelets and good luck 😊 |
