I'm just curious, but does it take longer to finish an alpha or normal bracelet? I know it depends on the number of strings, difficulty, etc. But in general, which one do you usually finish quicker? P.S. I've never made an alpha myself. |

I find alphas take longer. Especially multi-coloured ones

I finally learned alpha. Wow it was way faster and less string. Amazing! Although I haven't tried a more advanced alpha with more colors. Gotta learn that

@megani yeah I agree. It kinda also depends on how good you can read patterns.

Lol, you asked which takes LONGER in the title and then which is QUICKER in the description, so I have no idea which question everyone is answering. However, for me I think Alphas might take longer the more colors you have to switch out, however I prefer making alpha bracelets, the patterns are easier to follow and look nicer when finished. 😄

I think which type of bracelet is faster to make varies per person. For example, I find normal bracelets much, much faster to make than alphas, but I have heard of people that find alphas much faster to make than normals. It probably also has to do with how much practice you have with each type. My opinion🙂

I agree with you lemonlime. For me the Alpha patterns are just easier to follow which makes it easier for me because I can remember a row in numbers. So for example 242 could be 2 pink 4 purple then 2 pink.

I find normals easier, but so far I have only made one multicolor alpha, so with experience this might change. I generally make normal patterns that have not more than 16 strings, and the alpha I made used twenty. Im sure that if I stopped making normals, eventually I would get better at alphas, but it really all depends. Just make the type of bracelet you like best!
