I’m not really sure how to do normal patterns yet, but alpha patterns are basically like pixel art. You can also use an image to create an alpha pattern.

To create normal patterns, you type the different types of knots (f, b, bf, fb) in the order you want them to be. I’ve never made a normal pattern, so my suggestion would be to look at how others have made normal patterns. If you want to make an alpha pattern, the website gives you lots of different ways to make a pattern. My favorite way is to start by making the alpha with the image generator, and then fixing any mistakes in the “draw an alpha”

Masha knots on YouTube has some great tutorials. Alpha patterns are easier to read in my opinion because it is just foe ASR’s and backward knots but once you get the hang of normal patterns it will be easy as well.

@stormyknot You can’t make patterns on the app, but you can on the website. If you hover over your username near the upper right hand corner, then click “create patterns” in the drop down menu that appears, it’ll take you to where you can create patterns
