How long should I cut my base strings on an alpha if I wanna to a teardrop loop?

@Kjl you should cut them as long as you usually cut your alpha strings. If you want to make a bracelet, wrap rhe strings around your wrist and add some thread for the closing; it depends on the way you want to close your bracelet/ keychain! If you make a loop don't forget to cut your base strings double length and then fold them in half!😉 Hope this helps ❣️

@rileyrr for normal patterns: the easiest way to start a bracelet is row by row. Usually the first knot is with the first string to the second one or with the second to the first one. Then, the next knot should be between string 3 and 4 and so on. After completing the hole row you move to the next one. You can also segment knot it, but I think it is quite complicated if you are a beginner. Basically with segment knotting you make the bracelet faster, but I don't recommend this technic to be the first that you try. Hope this helps. this is a non-bracelet question but a couple weeks ago ( his is a story but i wanna know if this happened to anyone else), someone was like replying to me on every forum i posted on and they just joined like a hour ago, they were a beginner and they were saying like: i would be happy to help you but i dont feel comfortable talking on here please email me if you have any questions ( then the email but i dont remember it) sorry if this this doesn't make any sense but did it happen to anyone else?

@emelis16 you can try to make a knot with the broken string and the new one, if possible. Or else you could try to add the new string as you add the strings on flat alphas. I'm not sure about it because it has never happened to me, so I'm sorry if this doesn't work 🙁
