I’m doing pattern #52522 and I don’t know how to do a triangle end because it has an odd number of strings.

I would cut along the white border part since it forms an outline and is an inverted "v" shape. I hope this helps! 🙂

Also, there is no right way to make triangle ends. You can cut literally anywhere you want. The triangle does not need to even be a triangle shape.

You do it like normal triangle ends! There is no different technique. Like I said before, You can cut literally anywhere you want when making triangle ends. The triangle does not need to even be a triangle shape.

@Lizzie_Ann The pattern that you mension (#52522) has 24 strings, so you just work with 12 strings on the one side and 12 strings on the other side for the triangle end.

Even though there's an odd number of strings, the triangle ends are still made the exact same way. You just finish the bracelet where ever you want the ends to be then close off the bracelet just like you normally would! hope this helps!

@Lizzie_Ann I don't see an odd number of strings in pattern #52522. Is that the correct one? It has 24 strings with 8 colors and an even amount of each color for each side. If you cut 12 double-length strings of each color, you should just be able to fold them all in half to make a loop, then start the triangle. The only thing unusual is that the strings are not mirrored, so you'd just have to arrange them in a different order for each half as you build the triangle, but they're still all an even number. I think this pattern would look best to make 2 triangles with single loop (teardrop) and there's a video tutorial on #25054 called "Triangle ends after a loop" that might help you get the strings in the right order. For patterns that truly have odd-numbered colors like #42894 or #34499, Empatheo on YouTube has some great videos on various loops and starts with odd strings. 😊 |

Masha knots has a tutorial on how to make a bracelet with an odd amount of strings but she really means how to do it when the strings aren’t mirrored

Well if you wanna do a teardrop loop you can make it with just a braid or a twisted tie or something

If you have an odd number of strings for a normal pattern, one side of the triangle end(s) will have one more string. Hope this helps.

So, basically doing triangle ends with odd numbers may have to include one side with an extra string? Also, would that technique work for pattern #46690?
