how do you put your date of birth?

I plan on making an info in my page, but for some reason i can't seem to put my date of birth. It will always tell me error and would say, 8-10 characters max. Please help me on figuring this out. Thank you |

I put dd/mm/yy like myn would be 2/10/2002
