I have tried polymer clay, but I did buy it at Michael's. Though I have seen some at the (not so) dollar store here. I Have you checked Walmart?

If you do buy it on Amazon you risk the clay baking prematurely. Where the packages are kept can get very hot and cause the clay to bake slightly. I have found that Jo-Ann has the best selection of polymer clay next is Hobby Lobby than Michales. If you are looking for a softer clay get Sculpey III or Premo. Fimo is kinda hard to work with and you have to condition (working the clay with your hands) it allot.

I typically buy my clay at michaels or Walmart and I have noticed that JO-AN's has a lot of clay and tools even more than michaels.

I work with polymer clay. Do not buy cheap stuff. You want either sculpey, Fimo, promo or Kato!
