I cant start until I measure and cut my strings, but how long should they be? I cant find anywhere on the page with the pattern on where it says how long to make the strings

@crocmya i do a wingspan length and then fold in half. If you only need one string of a color do it from your hand to the center of your chest

It kinda depends on the pattern. If you’re making a thick pattern, cut your strings longer. If it’s a thin pattern, cut your strings shorter. I use my wingspan folded in half (see above ^) for medium bracelets and adjust from there

It depends on how long your bracelet is. Watch the begging alpha masha knots video 😄 Hope this helps!

I ususally make my strings about 2 meters or 6 feet (then you fold in half) and for a beginning loop one string should be like 10 inches longer than the rest

It depends on what bracelet you make for me is I do a candy stripe or a chevron I do about 50 in and fold it in half and I still have left over strings

For NORMAL patterns, I do a wingspans length and fold them in half. I often do a loop of some sort, therefore for the string making the loop I make it one arm's length longer though. For ALPHA patterns, I make the base strings one arm's length, regardless if it is a bracelet, key ring, or dowel. for the main color background, and whatever color makes the design... on the skein or on a bobbin. |

for normal patterns i just do a little more than my wingspanfor alphas base string i figure out how long i want my ties then double it and then figure out about how long my bracelets going to be. but for the leading strings i just dont cut them and just use the skein |

Hi! I normally do a wingspan and then fold it in half. So if you have an odd amount of strings a half wingspan. Does this make sense?

i usually cut a little more than a wingspans length and fold it in half. also if you’re making a thicker bracelet, you’ll need more so keep that in mind too.

I do the same as most other people on this page but I would like to say that you don't have to stress the length two much and if your just starting off and you don't have the eye yet for string length you could start with a wingspan folded in half or half a wingspan and then if you run out you can add more like you would an alpha. Hope this helps 😊!

when i'm doing triangle ends, i usually do about one meter (about a yard) and when doing a loop i do two meters (since you fold the strings in half). hope this helped! 🙂

I usually do my wingspan and then some extra for the ties. Then fold those strings in half
