I was planning to make an alpha on a key ring but if I tried to do it on a circular one it would curve. Is there a way to do it without a d ring and doubling it?

there are two solutions if i read your question correctly! one is to make it on a ‘square’ key ring which can be found here!

In this case, I usually just start my alpha with a loop, and I do a triangle shaped start right after the loop. When the keychain is finished, you just put the loop through the keyring.

Maybe try a D-ring? D-rings are good for alphas because they are straight keyring! You can search it up to know what I mean if you want! 😂

I did one with a circular key ring and it worked. Just make sure your knots are as even as possible
