I would say no, unless you have already made an alpha pattern that just not a bracelet. I recommend that you start of really simple with a 2 color alpha that has like 8-14 base strings so you can get the hang of it because jumping in the deep end. You can start with #29926 but you might not get the results your looking for (unless you were a natural born bracelet queen😉) There are so many color switches in this pattern, it may be a lot to handle so I definitely recommend an easy 2 colored alpha to start of with so you can work up to the beautiful hogwarts pattern 🙂

That’s perfect! And if you have any questions, this wonderful community can help you out! Don’t loose hope on #29926 though, you probably will make it in the future and it will turn out great! 🙂

Hi! The amount of strings really doesn’t matter, my first alpha was 35! There is a lot of color switching though, so I wouldn’t recommend it yet. @SC00PSAH0Y was right. But it’s good you found #1654, its definitely a great pattern to start with! Keep practicing though, you’ll get the hang of it! And by then, #29926 will be a piece of cake!!

I would most definitely say no. That is quite a lot of strings for a starter. If you want a big challenge then I guess. If you do think it is to hard then check my to-dos I have quite a few alphas in mine.❤️ |

My first alpha was #22960, I couldn't imagine doing the other one first try! Once you do a couple though you could definitely tackle the ones you want!

I would say no because that is quite a thick alpha. I would recommend something thinner, like pattern #45996. It is still really cute, but it is small and easy to make and only has 9 base strings. Then, once you make a thin alpha, you can slowly work your way up. I’m currently working on pattern #38372 as my second alpha. It has 17 base strings, and only two colors. So it is bigger than #45996, but it is still a simple pattern. That is how I would recommend progressing through alphas. But if you feel confident enough, you can try that at first. Although from experience, patterns that look simple can be really tricky and frustrating. When I first tried alphas, I messed up so bad that I took a break from them for a few months before trying again. I did this twice, and then I realized that I was going for too difficult of a pattern. Then, I tried something simpler, and it turned out pretty nicely! Moral of the story is, start from the basics because it’s better to try something and it end up being too easy than too hard. 😄

Probably not, it looks very difficult and elaborate. My first alpha was https://www.braceletbook.com/patterns/alpha/15758/ and it still took me almost 4 hours. I would recommend trying a very small pattern.

the only reason it wouldnt be a good first alpha is that it has lots of color switches, i would recommend making one with around 9 strings and two colors like #24784 was my first alpha

I think you should do #21041 because there is just two colors.
