on this one , you cant exactly do straight edges , because of how the pattern itself is laid out . try looking under the "straightedges" tag for bracelets that will work with it !

i would use the straight edges technique if you don't like that the wonky edge look like

With the nature of this pattern there really isn't a way to keep the edges straight with the pattern going on way then the other way and over all there are more of one type of knot then the others

@havencfree on a bracelet like this you have to add an extra string on each side to do the straight edges technique. If you want to know how you can check out the tutorial I've written.

@grod I think what's more important than the straight edges technique for this pattern is to try to not pull the bracelet to either side while knotting. But you can definitely add the straight edges technique and I think the bracelet will look nice with it.

You can add the straight egdes technique, but if you are knots are loose (if your knots are loose then the bracelet will be soft and be like fabric) then it is not needed as it will not become wonky. Hope this helps!

For most triangle type patterns like this, it's almost unavoidable to get some waves along the sides, even with the straight-edge technique. A lot depends how you make your knots, and tighter knots pulled on the diagonal seem to make it more wonky. Pattern #37097 is the same design with straight edge knots included if you'd like to try it... and there's some photos to see what others have done. 😊

I think the straight edges technique should help or you could just be carful around the edges. It is a very beautiful pattern though! 😁

I actually made this pattern without the straight edges technique and it wasn't wonky at all (i have a photo of it on my profile id you want to see)
But it really depends on your knot tension 😊

You can maybe try segment knotting, my bracelets are always neater that way.

If you use the straight edges technique of won't be completely straight but when I made it the straight edges technique made it straighter

Okay so for this pattern (for segment knotting) I would suggest using the half triangle beginning that Masha does in her chainlink candystripe videos...and if you can i would use straight edges technique
