I haven't been doing bracelets for a super long time but long enough to be getting into the bigger normal patterns and I always manage to cut my strings too short so none of my patterns actually turn into bracelets because my string was so short. So...what is a good length to cut your strings??

I cut a little over a wingspan usually but you can always add in more strings if you run out

About 1m 25cm per string should be fine for any large normal pattern. I hope this helps! 🙂

personally, i hold the string with my fingers and come to the middle of my chest, if i know the pattern will be super long or wide i might go to my other shoulder. Also, save extra string!!!!! You can use it for other bracelets/crafts and saving it is super helpful.

It really depends on the pattern but most of the time when I am making normal patterns I just bring the string from the tip of my finger to the middle of my chest, and when I am making alphas I usually cut the base sting long enough for ties, how long I think the actual pattern will end up and a little extra just in case, for the actual colors of the alpha, it really just depends on how much of the color is actually used in the pattern, this may be a little confusing but I hope this helps!🙂

It depends on the pattern but you can add strings if you run out of them! Alex’s innovation has a video we’re she explains three ways to add a string and it’s really helpful !

I cut my strings in 2m. Then I double them up. SO every string has a length of 1m. That fits everytime with me 😄

I'm very short, so i tend to cut about a wingspan and a half! I also suggest noticing which strings make the most knots in each pattern so that you can cut longer lengths of those strings and shorter lengths of strings that don't make as many knots.

Hi I'm new to making bracelets and I'm wanting to make one that is 9 1/4" long. So how long would my strings need to be?
