Hi! This might sound stupid lol, but when I follow the pattern sheet, can I always do segment knotting?

@Auddawg88 you can segment knot any normal pattern

@Auddawg88 I don't believe it's possible to segment knot every single pattern. The best ones to segment knot are patterns like #27289 and #33618. You basically just have to have knots of the same type with the same string all in a row. You can probably segment knot most patterns, but some are definitely easier than others.Hope this helped! 🙂 |

Thanks guys! 😊 I also have one more question. This might go better in the "my first alpha...i need help!" section, but how would I attach an base strings to a key chain hole thing? If it takes too long to explain, then if u have a video. you can recommend it 🙂 Thanks!

@isaaguilar You have to use the straight edges technique for alphas. Masha Knots on Youtube has a very in-depth video on it.You basically just make the edges have backward-forward knots on the left and forward-backward knots on the right. |

@Auddawg88 I'm pretty sure Masha Knots has a video on how to attach alphas to keyrings. I'm not very good at describing it, so it would probably be best if you looked at her video 😛

@Auddawg88 Normal patterns that consist of exclusively fb and/or bf knots can’t be segment knotted, but all other normal patterns can be, although some are definitely easier to segment knot than others

I need help!!!! so when I'm doing an alpha and I'm done with that string color, what should I do to make sure the knots don't come undone? for reference, I'm doing #39760 and I just finished with the green so should I just cut it off?

@alicesitu I would do one or two more rows, and then just go ahead and cut off the string. It shouldn’t unravel.

@quartzx2 I would recommend you do something like #18. It’s a bit harder than the chevron and candy stripe, but you should be fine 🙂

@Cocotier26 I don't think you can create patterns on the app. I'm pretty sure you can only make them on the website.
