try to watch masha knots videos on alphas and normals so then you have good tips and already start with good habits while you make a bracelet

Only use one type of string per bracelet so your knots aren’t different sizes

when making alphas, tape it down every time it gets too long. keep your knots consistent, and use your finger to kinda "shape" the edges to be straight

try to keep your knots consistent so the final product looks even and neat, this means if your knots are tight, keep them tight, and if they're loose, keep them loose. there are way too many times where i started off a bracelet with really tight knots and then eased into looser knots but in the end it just made the bracelet have a thin width at the beginning that made it look weird. also, always try to fix any mistakes even when you're running out of patience 😅 these are some things i wish somebody told me lol.
