ok so I get how to fold the strings in half and tie the loop onto the d-ring but what if the pattern has an odd number of base strings, how should I add the extra single string onto the ring? hope that makes sence! ty in advance! 💛 |

I separate the embroidery floss in half (it’s made of six strands so separate it into three and three) and then use one of those half strings to loop over the key ring just like the others, when you loop it it will make six strands again, then you can use that as a full base string. I hope this helps but if you have any follow up questions I’d be happy to clarify!

@Paige_1 I think I get it, thanks! So I take a single strand and pull it apart into two equal stands to make the loop and then once it’s on the ring it will come together to make one strand hahaha so complicated

You can also tie on one more base string than you need, and just use the extra one as your leading string
