please help. I'm currently making one of my first alphas and when I was cutting a piece of string off the back I accidentally cut one of my base strings! I only have around 5 cm of string to work with please help

You can tie a string to the string you cut off by making a simple knot but there will be slight bump

When I cut a base string I add it back to the bracelet by taping it underneath the bracelet and then carefully knotting with it until it is tightly in there again. I hope you aren't confused 😂

Sort of 😂. I just tape the base string behind the bracelet like Masha, but the I knot over it using the leading string...

I just learned alpha bracelets and i can do them pretty well. in the tutorial i watched, i was instructed to make a backwards-forwards/forwards-backwards knot at each end to make it flat instead of bumpy; i've been trying that technique with one bracelet but it's leaving gaps in between each row on the end and the base string color shows through- am i doing something wrong or is that just what happens with this technique?

@Mary_E just make sure to do two backward-forward or forward-backward knots on each end because the first backward-forward or forward-backward knot will be finishing the row and the second knot will be starting the next row.

you could just start knotting on a new base string just tape it down under the bracelet and start the row on that new string. i do that when a base string brakes and it works very well fo me.

@kk_taylor @Mary_E Hey guys, just so you know for the future, when you have a question or issue, you should create a new topic. On the app, you do that by tapping a forum section (newbies, generator, etc) and then tapping the paper and pencil icon in the upper right corner. On the website, you do that by click a forum section and then clicking “add a topic” in the upper left corner

You could add a string like any new color but keep it as the base string! hope this was helpful! 😊
