Your explanation is fantastic! I loved the possibility of not using the computer to draw a pattern. I think that on paper it is much easier to follow. Thanks a lot!!!!!
Still having trouble figuring how many strings of each color to use and what order/which knots to do, especially when designing an irregular pattern. Any good tutorials or tips on this aspect?
@itzLindy if you write the exact same pattern knot by knot the generator will be able to recognise that it already exists. If your knotting structure is different the moderator reviewing your pattern will check if there are similar patterns if they think there might be. You can also try searching for similar patterns yourself by searching for patterns with certain amount of strings and colours and specific keywords. If you end up submitting a pattern that already exists without noticing it that's not the end of the world either. The moderator reviewing your pattern will just decline your pattern and let you know it already exists. There are so many different ways to make patterns that it is unlikely to accidentally create an identical pattern at least if the pattern is more complex. I hope this answers your question.
Hello! I'm sort of new here I love looking through all the patterns and finding some I love but I have wondered how to make them this was really helpful. But my question is: How do you know if there isn't the same exact pattern you made already? Because at the end it asks you if you are copying and if you are not copying and there is another pattern like yours how will you know?
