@ronigee there are 16,777,216 possible hex codes but a lot less dmc colours. You can look up "hex to dmc" online to find close colour matches. Identical colour matches are not possible most of the time. (In addition to that colours also look different on different screens.)
Is there an app that will have the actual color name? I know there is the Hex # but for something like the DMC chart, they actually list the name of the color.
This is fantastic thank you so much! I've always struggled with choosing colour combinations, the palettes you've shared are gorgeous 🤩 cant wait to try them out 🥰
@fredz I’m not exactly sure what you mean, but if you’re wondering how to find dmc colours (or another brand’s) similar to colours on a pattern, there’s lots of ways to do that. You can just search up a dmc colour chart, there’s plenty online, and you can see what colours are similar. If you don’t have that many colours on hand, just bring out your thread and find colours that you want. If you want to see what certain colours will look like on a pattern, you can create a variation on the site. Hope this helps!
im new to this and want to first start with copying the colours for a pattern I like on braceletbookcom but don't know how to match the colours like for example match each color using dmc colour chart or something similar. any advice on how to do this.
I like to use canva for some of my color palettes! They have plenty of online templetes and a color wheel where you can choose ay type of wheel as well!
