@ELKARS Any tie-dye kit is fine. Usually tie-dye kits come with bottles with powder in them, and you just add water to the bottles. Just follow the dye's instructions on how to prepare it. 👍
I highly recommend blow drying if you want your thread to dry quickly. It will take a lot longer if it air dries, but air drying still works too. 🙂
@KrazyKnotz will any tie-dye kit work? also, instead of blow-drying the thread, would it work just to leave them to dry overnight or something? another question, 😂, does the dye need to be diluted before using if it didn't come diluted??
@Hassey The one string is red-yellow-red and and other string is yellow-green-yellow. The kit I used only had 5 colors. The photo for 'Color Combo Tips' shows these two skeins. 😉
@Stella_Leo At what temperature and how long did you cooking the baking soda? It would be nice to know for future reference. Baking soda is easier to find than soda ash. 🙂
I got some tie dye kits that were on sale for like $3 each( only had 3-4 colors though). Surprisingly neither had soda ash. You think I should try to diy it and use that to be safe?
