it also helped to keep the string wrapped on bobbins, and to divide them into sets of 8 and put ziplocks over them when I wasn’t using them so they didn’t all get tangled
@MochiKitty@freezetta I got the string from micheals, they have extra long skeins (i think it was about 8 yards) and folded them in half. I started with the big end and made the triangle like a normal triangle start. After the starting triangle I started tapering it- every 18 rows I took a string off each end. (i made them into a group so i could use each color, but i would tie knots over the whole group) after tapering 8 times i could cut those strings off. I tapered 16 times, and then used the leftover 32 strings normally until the end. (the taper part was the same length as the normal part so I could just double it) I don’t know if that made sense but I’m happy to answer questions or explain any more if needed! I started this in the beginning of November so it was not a quick project but it turned out SO cool!
