@clairehair no, definitely don't understand. look at the variations. intended or not, you're insisting on keeping two swastika patterns on this site that are being modified to look even more fascistic/nazi. plenty of patterns incorporate "swirls" that look nothing like nazi iconography. really hope someone takes the initiative to remove this, bc it's super messed up
Is there a way to have this pattern removed? I feel very uncomfortable with the fact that it wasn't immediately removed when @clairehair realized that this design included nazi symbolism, whether or not it was intentional
Literally didn’t even notice the swastika-like shapes before reading the comments. As someone who went to design school, i can confirm that these kinds of symbols accidentally show up in geometric patterns all the time!
Hey everyone! I just wanted to come out here and state that I didn't intend for this pattern to look like anything other than little swirls with a gradient background. I hope you understand 🙂
@karyn-smit i think they’re talking about the swastika, which was also what i first thought of when i saw the pattern. the sun symbol i think they were referring to is the sun cross. it’s a solar symbol frequently found in neolithic to bronze eras of pre-european history. a version of the sun cross with broken arms that resembles a swastika was frequently used in 1930’s germany as a like between christianity and germanic paganism. so that’s the connection between the two symbols.
