Yeah I had been looking for this pattern forever as well, I kept searching youtube for a video on it with no luck (well I found one but the girl started the video half way through the video) I found 2 patterns that kinda looked like I wanted so I finally just had to make it myself. Took 5 hours!
No problem! Im glad someone notices! I actually dont know how to do the pictures or lettering yet. I started doing these bracelets 15 years ago when I was in high school, but I only did the really simple single line a color ones. I never even knew about these kinds! So Im learnig all over again.
I tried making a knot with a loop at the top to get started like I usually do but when I did the first 2 lines of the pattern looked horrible. They were all smooshed together and I couldn't tell what string to use next, so I had to start all over. What I did to get it to work was take all of the
strings and laid them in order on my board and taped them down. I did several lines of the pattern and then went back and made 2 braids. (You can see what I mean in the pictures I added) Another tip! Every other line of this pattern (the even numbered ones, line 2, 4, 6, 8 and so on) the strings
will line up so that you are making knots with 2 of the same color strings. It really doesn’t matter weather you make a forward knot or a backward knot because it will be the right color no matter what. I would take this opportunity to make sure my strings were all staying the same lengtht.
If the left string is longer make a forward knot and if the right string is longer make a backward knot. After the first 2 times I did this pattern I noticed the strings were not coming out even, some were 2 inches shorter than the rest, so do this little trick and they will all came out even!
