100 cm for the letter color [elephant color] and a few meters for the background color. which i usually replace now and then because i dont like extra long strings.
U read the pattern at the bottom. The top one just shows what it will look like when it is finished. So, each square is one knot. I just explained the first row and the second row. To make a black knot u just do the opposite knot that u just did. Do the opposite of what u did for the grey knot.
For this pattern u need 1 grey, and 15 black. U can use other colors too. U read the it from left to right. Use the grey string and make a whole row of right knots. Use the grey string again and make 11 grey left knots. Then, make two black right knots. Then make 4 more grey left knots. And go on.
