@harriet22 the way they have the base strings set up its the base strings plus your leading string (1). they show the real number of base strings that you need where it says dimensions! hope this helps
@abbey10 you can start it with a loop or you can just start in a straight line but if you want you can do it as a bookmark I’m pretty sure there are tutorials on YouTube hope it helps 😊
