Regardless, I bet you were able to "duplicate" it in a single afternoon, much like copying a counted cross-stitch. While #46958 is a similar version of another larger artwork, I still spent weeks editing and experimenting with different pixel placements before arriving at a design I was ready to submit. If I had made this one, I would have reworked some things as I think the proportion needs to be modified as a whole face (the head was probably tilted slightly when cropped in half). Most people contact me beforehand and ask if they can make different or doubled versions of my patterns and I really appreciate that! 🙂
More than a copy it is a variation. I did not know how to do to give the original employer credits to @sodapop. I used exactly the same colors because it helped me keep track of the space. I made this pattern because I wanted to see the whole cat and then I decided that maybe others would like to see it too.
*when i said one side was different from the other, i meant the colors, but in this pattern i realize it is the same colors. And also, if it was really copying a mod probably wouldn't accept it in the first place
I think its fine as long as they didn't completely copy the pattern and claim it as their own, I mean it is the exact same pattern, but if anyone wants to make a tapestry version now they can! and also, someone did knot a mirrored version thats basically the same as this cuz one side was different from the other and they probably just wanted to make it easier for the people who do want to make a mirrored version. I agree they could have at least gave credit, but as long as @sodapop is okay with it it is fine!
