If you are not used to two step (1212) pattern I suggest you start off with a simple striped or rainbow one like pattern # 47854. It will let you get used to the rhythm of the knots.
@Bubbabear1 i was intimidated by the amount of foward/backward, backward/forward knots in some patterns, but then i said ill give it a try! and it's actually not bad! but it looks crazy, right!?

@brooklyng a 1212 pattern is a pattern that consists of mainly forward-backward and backward-forward knots. Masha Knots has some videos on the different patterns i think. I hope this answered your question a little bit lol
