@grcleven well i made mine before submitting the pattern 🤪 but yea you just do it sideways. for me it helps to screenshot the gridded image of the pattern (not the actual pattern) and just work that way. also i used all the colors as base strings and just knotted "down" over the black when i needed the color! not sure what that is called or where thered be a tutorial. 🙈
@juli-wenn and @tova those are amazing 😍 how did you guys flip it sideways for the wall hanging? Not sure how to phrase this exactly. Did you turn the whole pattern sideways and do a color change every 3 knots?
@hikingsd yes i used regular embroidery floss! but the black i used is some brand from amazon so it was a little thicker than the rest of the colors, which are loops & threads brand if you wanted to know 😊 believe it or not, this was my first project of this size!! it was my first wall hanging. but as @Magic28 said, I just used a dowel! I bought a 12 pack at michaels for $3 lol. then i had to cut it down with a knife from my dad's toolbox 🤪
@hikingsd you could use a wooden dowel or barque stick and cut it down to size! You can probably find then online or in wood working stores (I’m blanking 🤦🏽♀️) hope this helps! 🙃
