@buss_it I also leave the leading strand on its skein or card which is why I don't really have a good idea of how long the other colors/leading string should be
@buss_it So I made a bracelet with two twisted ends on either side of it (I have two pictures posted). I always buy two skeins of whatever my base strings are (because usually I match the base strings to the background string color). As for the other colors of this pattern, they aren't used that much? So I would say maybe 30 cm (1 foot) max for any of the minor colors. As for the length of the background/main color, I always measure out my alphas by wrapping the string loosely around my wrist and leaving about an extra 20 cm (8 in) for the twisted ends of the bracelet. So my wrist is about 15.24 cm (6 inches) so I would make each of my base strings 35.24 cm (14 in). It might seem excessive but I'm always afraid of it being too short 😂
