I will learn with trial and error aswell I guess and with every successfully made bracelet I will give as much info on string or whatever tips in the comments below. @minettie hi, I am unsure what makes you believe that any of us mods or one of the admins deleted a comment giving answers to the question how long the strings for this pattern need to be.
This is not an information that people withhold. It is just something that is difficult to answer immediately for any given pattern. For a pattern where all strings are used equally, you need to use around 95cm per string.
This is not the case here. If you do trust us mods, you can check out the tutorial that I wrote on calculating string length. If you do not trust us mods or want a different approach, you can figure out the string length by creating a swatch as described in the tutorial written by @trini2211
String 1 and 16: 45cm String 2 and 15: 145cm String 3 and 14: 70cm String 4 and 13: 90cm String 5 and 12: 105cm String 6 and 11: 85cm String 7 and 10: 100cm String 8 and 9: 100cm
I hope I did not make a mistake calculating this and I hope me going out of my way to calculate this for you does convince you that we moderators would not hide such information from our users. If there was indeed a deleted comment, I am deeply sorry for the actions of whoever deleted it.
May I ask? Does admin or whoever intentionaly omit the answer to the string length in these comments? It seems as though it is withheld or deleted on purpose..this form of art has been around for it seems at LEAST a decade though people are somewhat very reluctant to share certain info..i would think that is the first thing a fellow craftsman would share in a platform like this. people are funny creatures. Its not like we are a threat to one another. we are scattered across the globe.. come on guys. share the love.. dont be such noobs.
@samw7108 The outer white one can be very short cause it doesn't make any knots, the other whites not long either cause they make very few knots, but the black ones need to be a lot longer than the rest, they run out very quickly! 🙂
I saw a video of this on Pinterest and I wanted to find the pattern but I couldn’t find it. Then I saw another one and I found what pattern it was today. I’m so happy I found it!
