@ePanda1040 you knot it according to the pattern but at the part where there are left out knots instead of leaving loose strings you pull it tight. You don't do any special technique.
@Keaton I'm not sure if there is but I think for a pattern like this you could do it with any amount of colours and the photo would still get accepted because it's more about the concept.
