@haley56 it's normal, that knots in alphas tend to be elongated. You could use thicker base strings/double your base strings, make looser knots or push up each row after knotting to avoid it a little.
here is kinda a trick,if an alpha only has 2 colors your base strings would be the color of the smile face and when you would change colors just do a backward knot 🙂
