@melina_s the pattern does turn out with the edges a little wobbly, but I am segment knotting it as-is and I'm not having the same problem others seem to have had. It would probably still benefit from the straight edges technique.
@Sofizc21 I just watched Masha knots’ show to make a normal pattern bracelet straight and what you need to do is basically make a boarder where you have two extra strings and do forward backward knots on the left and backward forward on the right
@Sofizc21 You could do the staight-edge technique... I wrote pattern #37097 that incorporates the straight string into the design. Also there are videos on #23211 and #34879 that show how to add it to any normal bracelet pattern. 🙂
@brxlee even though the pattern isn't symmetrical, you can still cut a teardrop shape out of it. It really helps to print out the pattern so you can draw a triangle shape and arrange your strings accordingly. I think I would start the teardrop with the 1st knot on line 7, down to the 4th knot (center) on line 13, and back up again. A video on pattern #10388 that shows how to find a good triangle and arrange your string order. But because the colors aren't equal on each side, you can't just fold all the strings in half to make the loop like normal. For those colors that don't have a match on the opposite side, you'll have to use individual strings and fold/hook the end around another lone string from the opposite side with about a 3-4 inch overlap and line up those pairs in the center with the other long strings you're folding in half. Then you cover it up with knots to make the loop. After the loop is secured, carefullly cut off the stray short ends so you can just continue the pattern. 😊 With practive, you might even be able to come up with a different or better solution! 😄
@Gunslinger oh nooooo me too. I tried straight edge here for the first time bc i had figured from the pattern it might turn out wanky and it was soooo confusing with the extra strings.....aaaaah. next time 37097 🤪
