@nounou987 For single colors that don't have a match on the opposite side, you'll have to use individual strings and fold/hook the end around another lone string from the opposite side with about a 3-4 inch overlap, line up those crossed/folded pairs in the center with the other long strings you're simply folding in half. Then you cover it up with knots to make the loop like normal. After the loop is secured, carefullly cut off the stray short ends so you can just continue the pattern. I like to leave the tail end a bit longer so after I've finished the pattern I can thread it through a needle and weave in underneath some other knots on the back so there's not a frayed end poking out at the top. 😊 Or instead of folding the single shorter strings inside the loop, you could just let them go straight across with the other longer strings but you'd have to be careful not to pull on that color too hard when making the first knots or you'll just yank it right out of the loop 😭 folding it makes it more secure. With practice, you might even be able to come up with a different or better solution! 😄
@dqneef i think i finally figured it out! so you see how line 1 and line 15 have a row of backward/forward or forward/backward knots? you will can do the diagonal/candy stripe method in one direction and once you get halfway through to line 15 do the diagonal/candy stripe in the opposite direction... and so on and so forth.
@dqneef try doing it like a candy stripe. i tried doing it row by row once and it came out so wavy. i'm going to try the candy stripe method and hopefully it will come out straighter
@emwest do you mean a loop? Empatheo on YouTube has tutorials how to make different loops with odd colors of string. There's also a video tutorial on pattern #31230 on how to make a simple slanted end.
@minamo99 I think it does that because the strings are all coming in on both sides then they go out, maybe one reason is because you are more comfortable making one knot than the other, one way to fix that is making a cabs stripe of only using that knot your having trouble with, I hope this helps!
Hi, I've made this pattern twice, but my bracelets get a little curvy around line 15. Does anyone know what should I do to avoid this? I've tried doing pretty consistent knots all along, but it didn't work.
