@giraffe34 sorry if I'm too late 😢 but from your profile, it looks like you're familiar with how to make chevrons...so if you've built them in diagonal rows meeting in the center and it looks like V's stacked together, that's segment knotting! 😄 And this pattern is just like making 2 chevrons side-by-side. You can see the center of each chevron is the 2nd and 6th knot in every even-numbered row. The only difference is the colors aren't matching together, they're offset. Once your strings are in the correct order, divide in half and start the left chevron with string colors B E A A to make a tiny V. Then do the next V on the outside with colors C D A A... and do the exact same thing on the right side. Before starting the 3rd V, connect the 2 sides together in the middle with A from the left and D from the right using a backward-forward knot. Now you can keep repeating 2 sets of V's all the way down, essentially making W's. 😜 Even if you're not allowed YouTube, I think you should be able to watch videos posted on BB and you can see how some segment knotting is done on #24139#23211 or #29336 and the half n half chevron #9147. They're not the same as this pattern, but hopefully they can help get you comfortable with how to divide patterns into segments! 😊
@giraffe34 I haven't actually made the bracelet. When I do, I will probably make two half n' half chevrons (Masha Knots has a tutorial) that are connected with a forward backward or a backward forward knot. I hope this helps! 😊
@sodapop is there any way you can explain this in a little more detail?? Sorry if I am being a little annoying but my friends birthday is in 2 days and I wanna have it done
@giraffe34 definitely segment knot! 😄 Make it like 2 side-by-side chevrons connected in the center with either a bf or fb knot. Then you can just do sets of V's all the way down 😊
