If anyone wants to do a loop, whether its teardrop or normal triangle end, here is how:
Cut all you string and double them how you would normally do it. Then what you have to do is make sure the all of your purple strings stay on one side and all your green ones stay on the other side. So, to do that, take one of your purple strings and fold it in half. There should be a small hoop, which you would then thread one of the green strings through, then fold that one in half. Your strings are now intertwined. Do this for the rest of the strings, including black and white. Next, line up all your new string keeping all the purple on one side and all the green on the other. The spot where they are intertwined should be in the middle. From that spot, start making your loop. Then you could continue how you would normally. Masha Knots has a video. The video is called "Making a loop with odd numbers of thread" so exactly what she does, but for this pattern do not separate the strings!!! Dont separate the black string in half like she shows, just skip that part.
I hope this helped someone, and if you have any questions you can just message me 😊
@ThatWeirdo You wouldn't be able to make a regular loop, you would have to do the loop with an odd number of colours technique. Masha Knots has a tutorial for that on her youtube channel.
@jellyknots I'm so sorry I missed this earlier! It's not totally crucial as a lot of people have already made it and their bracelets still look really nice. And @knottahti is exactly right 😊 but there's also a whole diagonal row that should be part of the weave as well, so I've corrected everything in a mirror version of this same pattern... it's #41575
@jellyknots she means that line 29 should have the same knotting structure as line 13. the pattern repeats after line 16 (the same knots but with different colors)
