@itsjustmeg I had this issue with my first few alphas. They would get a lot wider in areas with many color changes. I found that the alpha technique helps a lot with this. MashaKnots on YouTube has a tutorial! 🙂
@itsjustmeg not the creator! but thought i'd weigh in on your question ^^ i'm just gonna guess it's most likely because there are so many strings in the center of the pattern changing colors and positions that it got crowded, and it was difficult to keep the same knot tension for all of them so it got wider. the first alpha i tied did this in several of the places i changed colors. some of my regular pattern bracelets have also done this. i'm not an expert so i can't say *exactly* what's going on, but knot/thread tension tends to be reason for most of the problems i've run into. i hope that helps in some way lol 🙂
I really love this pattern!! I just finished mine! I love it so much! ty to the creator of this pattern. The middle of mine was very outstretched and large compared to the other bits of it, what am I doing wrong? 🤔 ❤️
