@knotty23 yes and to help create the edge border. Most of my patterns have the straight edges technique built into the pattern. The edge looks nicer with it too not just more straight.
Olivia12_ yes! It also looks good with triangle ends and a single tie at both ends- that’s what I did, you’ll be able to see if they ever approve the photo.
