@kellybean sorry this is late. I believe that for the top you have to take rows 42-48 and do a triangle of it, so you would start at row 42 with the black knot in the middle, and continue down to 43 with the two white knots, then 44 with white black white, and keep going like that until you make a triangle. Then at the bottom you make a triangle by taking out the knots on the sides where you are ending. You can see this more clearly with @mir_knots photo of this pattern where she did triangle ends. Hope this helps! 😊
@pivi658 haha I totally get that, knotting big projects is especially more time consuming! If you have any other questions feel free to ask! I'm happy to help!
@pivi658 what I did was basically hold one of my other creations around my chapstick and go based on that. It really does depend on your knot tension and also what string you are using, but I also do believe that there is a range in which it will work! For me I used a 64 string pattern(well, a 16 one quadrupled) and that worked for me! Hopefully that makes sense, and if you have any other questions feel free to message me!
@guardling1 that’s genius! Quick question, how would I know of a pattern is thick e ough to ho,d a chapstick but also isn’t too big that it can slip out. Idk if that makes sense but I hope you get what I mean
@obieeggs what I did was knot in a continuous circle to make a tube shape, and I ended it off in a triangle ends type thing with a tassle. This way, my creation would function as a chapstick holder keychain! If you have any more questions feel free to message me! 🙂
