@Clairibee - I've been familiar with that technique for quite a while, but since you mentioned it I rewatched masha's video. OMG I have been totally missing that second part where she explains how to do it with strings that aren't the same color(like in this pattern). When I watched it first I scanned it too fast and thought that you add a strand to both edges AND you ended up seeing these in the pattern. I was wrong and now I see that's how you get nice edges like in your version of this pattern. Thanks for pointing me back in that direction!
@Clairibee you work looks great - would love to know how you made the colored bits of the very edges so uniform and consistent since those are just strands carried forward and not actual knots according to the pattern. Neat technique and I would love to learn how you did it.
