i’m really tempted to make this for my english teacher because he mentioned this piece of artwork when we were learning about postmodernism before covid.
@jazzy_b26 yeah, I have a written tutorial in the tutorial section but there's also a really good YouTube video on it by MashaKnots (you have to look for the flat alpha tutorial, she also explains the straight edges technique in it).
@jazzy_b26@lillyu_ there will always be loose strings visible on the back of the bracelet. Some people put a piece of cloth or felt on the back to hide that.
The straight edges technique will only affect the look of the edges of the bracelet.
@KrazyKnotz thank you 😄 i haven't been able to find a tutorial on it yet, but the process is just like a normal alpha except you cross the strings over in the front of the bracelet and not the back. it works really well, this is only my second pattern using the technique!! the biggest issue is that the pattern becomes mirrored, so you have to knot "backwards" in a sense (for example, on the first row here i would start with the 2 dark orange and 3 light orange knots on the LEFT side, not the right).
hopefully that all makes sense!! i want to make a video tutorial on the technique soon, if i can figure out a setup 🙂
It is sooo coool I love it, literally is the most beautiful combination of art and bracelets. I’m gonna four right now. If someone do a pattern of the “cielo estrellado” it will be so cool
