@gabbskye Alpha bracelets are a different type of bracelet where you use the same “background string” to knot over your base strings to make your own custom patterns, and you use only backward and forward knots. Normal patterns, however, need specific directions for each knot(forward, backward, forward-backward, backward-forward), and when you are looking at patterns, you will see that alpha patterns go across an entire row with the same direction, and back again, etc., while with normal patterns you will see several different directions of the arrows for the types of knots. I know this might seem confusing, but I hope I helped cleared things up. If you have any other questions, or are still confused, you can private message me. 💜 I purple you!
I’m new to this app/website. What does it mean when it says something like normal or alpha? Is that the difficulty or does that mean something else. Sorry if it is a dumb question I should know the answer to 😂
@veahknots@giraffe34 you just need to continue doing the bracelet. You do the knots, that you did before, doesn’t matter if the colors are different. The pattern just repeats. I’m not the best at explaining, but hope that could help.
@katia888 if you use the website I recommend using the "add variation" button to look at how the pattern looks with a different string order (just look at it, not submit).
There are A LOT of comments in this thread and I haven't scrolled through all of them, but can someone explain why this one only has six rows? I understand you are supposed to repeat the pattern with other colors, but it's a lot easier to have the colors indicated as you go (as for all the other patterns I've looked at on this site). Is there another version of the same pattern with more steps indicated in the pattern? I notice in Masha Knots's tutorial she shows a version of the pattern with more steps shown.
